Session times and what to bring to your first class. 

Interested in coming along to a trial class at GB Surfers Paradise?    

We are always excited to welcome new students. It is an honor to teach you the values, discipline and focus that Jiu-Jitsu offers.  

New trials are welcome any day.

  • Please arrive 15 minutes before class time so we can supply you a trial uniform  
  • New adult students should attend the GB1 class as their first lesson 
  • For children, please see the age guide below for the correct class to attend
  • Bring thongs or slip on shoes for your feet
  • Bring a water bottle

Class Descriptions:

Kids and Parents Class    A fun time aimed at having parent and kids learn basic Ju-Jitsu together on the mats. With plenty of time for games.   

Tiny Champions    Jiu-Jitsu, kids fitness, and games for 3-4 years old.

Little Champions 1    Jiu-Jitsu training for beginners to kids who wish to compete from 5-6 Years old.

Little Champions 2    Jiu-Jitsu training for beginners to kids who wish to compete from 7-9 Years old.

Juniors Jiu-Jitsu for 10-12 Years old. Always engaging. Beyond just Jiu-Jitsu, assisting with fitness, discipline and personal development for youths. 

Teens  Jiu-Jitsu for 13-15 Years old. These classes prepare our teens for the adult classes they will step into and teach them valuable life lessons in the process.

GB1   These classes can be thought of as Jiu-Jitsu for beginners. Students learn the fundamentals and principles of BJJ as well as the skills you need to grow personally in a Jiu-Jitsu lifestyle.

GB2    Advance your Jiu-Jitsu game flow during this course. Take your training beyond the fundamentals and begin to hone the principles you need to succeed, such as discipline, respect, commitment and leadership.

NO GI   Is grappling without the traditional uniform, instead you wear shorts and a rash guard. In No Gi you cannot grab your opponent's clothing
