Session times and what to bring to your first class. 

Are you interested in coming along to try a class at GB Surfers Paradise?

We are always excited to welcome new students to our school community. It is an honor to teach you the values, discipline and focus that Jiu-Jitsu offers  ​​​​​

  • New adult students should attend the All Levels class as their first lesson 

  • For children, please see the age guide below for the correct class to attend

  • Please arrive 15 minutes before class starts so we can loan you a uniform

  • Bring thongs or slip on shoes for your feet

  • Bring a water bottle

Parents & Kids Class  A fun class for parents and kids of all ages to learn basic jiu-jitsu together on the mats, with plenty of time for games 

Tiny Champions  Jiu-Jitsu, kids fitness and games for 3-4 years

Little Champions 1  Jiu-Jitsu training, fitness and games for 5-6 years

Little Champions 2  Jiu-Jitsu training, fitness and self-defence for 7-9 years

Juniors / Teens  Jiu-Jitsu, fitness and self defence for 10-15 years. Engaging youth through jiu jitsu,self-defence, community and discipline.  These classes prepare our teens for the adult classes they will step into.

Adult Classes
GB1  These classes can be thought of as Jiu-Jitsu for beginners. Students learn the fundamentals and principles of BJJ as well as the skills you need to grow personally in a Jiu-Jitsu lifestyle

GB2   Advance your Jiu-Jitsu game flow during this course. Take your training beyond the fundamentals and begin to hone the principles you need to succeed, such as discipline, respect, commitment and leadership

All Levels  For GB1 and GB2 students - perfect for beginners and all skill levels

No Gi  Grappling without the traditional uniform.  Instead you wear shorts and a rash guard. In No Gi you cannot grab your opponent's clothing

BARRAFIT  A group fitness program that was developed through our experience training top martial arts athletes all over the world. BarraFit sessions are led by a qualified PT instructor and cater for people of all fitness levels.
